"Train a child in the way he should go, and when he is old, he will not depart from it." Proverbs 22:6
Welcome to Mount Olive Christian Preschool!
Our primary mission is to share Christ with your child so that he or she can experience the love of Jesus on a daily basis. Because each child has been gifted by God with many different talents and abilities, we offer a variety of hands-on activities which are age-appropriate, child-centered, and most importantly, Christ-centered.
Our goal is to provide each student with experiences that will help foster and develop emotional, physical, cognitive, social, and spiritual growth. The staff at Mt. Olive Christian Preschool is committed to the education of young children and we appreciate the trust you put in us as we joyfully share God’s love with your child in a loving, caring, safe, and respectful environment.
Mt Olive Christian Preschool was established in 1987 and is licensed by the State of Wisconsin.
We offer multi-age classes for 3, 4, and 5 year olds:
(3-5 year olds): Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, or Fridays from 9:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m.
Parents are given the choice to determine which days they would like their child to attend.
Children are given the opportunity to explore the world around them in a variety of activities and learning experiences. Children learn through interactive play which is a central part of each class. Individual as well as group settings are utilized in daily routines. Each day is designed to daily incorporate these activities:
- Jesus time (songs, prayers, Bible stories or devotions)
- Circle time (weather, calendar, pledge, introduction to the daily theme)
- Balance between play and structured activities
- Creative art expression
- Music and Literature
- Large Motor Time (in the gym or outside in play area)
- Fine Motor Skills (cutting, writing, manipulatives)
- Developmentally appropriate games, toys, equipment, and learning activities which relate to the weekly theme
- Snack time
Children will be exposed to colors, numbers, shapes, letters, and other skills necessary for 4K or Kindergarten. Socialization and manners will be emphasized as we learn how to treat others the way Jesus taught us in His Word, the Bible. Monthly themes, artist studies, and a variety of seasonal games and activities will be shared with the preschoolers.
